Using Food Alert consultation to continue trading on Uber Eats

Eligible merchants who are waiting for a council inspection may be granted a temporary exception to continue trading on the Uber Eats platform if a SureFoot Assurance is granted. To do this, merchants must:

  • Purchase an email consultation within 10 days of offer (date email was sent from the Uber Eats compliance team)
  • Complete the email consultation and receive a SureFoot Assurance within 30 days of purchase.

  • This includes:
    • Providing the requested information to Surefoot, including any previous inspection reports, details about your store etc
    • Providing a suitable action plan to address any identified issues.
    • Taking appropriate steps (with evidence) to ensure the food safety standards in your store improve

From there, Surefoot will notify Uber Eats of your action plan and Uber Eats will allow eligible merchants to continue trade on their platform.

If you do not (a) purchase the email consultation within 10 days, or (b) complete the consultation within 30 days of purchase, you may not be eligible for a temporary exception and Uber Eats may suspend your account.
